OUR MISSION
Our mission as an organisation.
Goals and objectives of Minority Defenders Forum
Minority Defenders Forum operates in homophobic countries Uganda and Kenya and our main objective as an LGBTIQ led organization is to provide support, advocacy, and resources for the LGBTQIA+ community. We often focus on promoting acceptance, equality, and human rights for individuals regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. We work towards creating safe spaces, raising awareness, and fighting discrimination and prejudice. Minority Defenders Forum is led by members of the LGBTQIA+ community who better understand the needs and challenges faced by the community and work towards positive change. Our commitment as a universal advocate for SOGIESC issues (sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and sex characteristics) and SRHR (sexual and reproductive health and rights) for all is to strive to ensure that the rights and well-being of all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, are respected and protected. We work towards promoting inclusivity, fighting discrimination, and advocating for equal access to healthcare and resources for everyone in the LGBTQIA+ community. Our commitment is crucial in challenging societal norms and creating a more accepting and supportive environment for all individuals.

Where our activism focuses on
Ending Hiv is at our fingertips. As a universal advocate for SRHR, we are leading the campaign at cross fire with state laws that we deem barriers to our successful activism and advocacy work .
