We are a non-profit organisation based in Nairobi Kenya.
Minority Defenders Forum operates in homophobic countries Uganda and Kenya and our main objective as an LGBTIQ led organization is to provide support, advocacy, and resources for the LGBTQIA+ community. We often focus on promoting acceptance, equality, and human rights for individuals regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. We work towards creating safe spaces, raising awareness, and fighting discrimination and prejudice. Minority Defenders Forum is led by members of the LGBTQIA+ community who better understand the needs and challenges faced by the community and work towards positive change.
